Tasty take-out style dish. Meat can be substituted for pork, chicken, or the like.
Ingredients:
- Basic Ingredients:
- 1/2lb Beef, sliced into bite-sized pieces
- Florets of 1 head of broccoli
- Oil pre-fry:
- Garlic
- Ginger
- Chili
- Sauce mix:
- 1 cup warm water
- 2 tbsp corn starch
- ½ tsp onion powder
- 1 tsp sesame seeds
- 2 tsp mustard
- 2 tbsp honey
- 2 tbsp Oyster sauce
- 4 tbsp soy sauce
- Pepper
- Dash of 5-spice (optional)
- MSG/Salt to taste
Procedure:
- Prepare sauce by simply mixing all ingredients
- Add water to wok/skillet, steam/fry broccoli florets until hot and bright green, add salt
- Take broccoli out, douse in ice water
- Cook meat to taste, set aside
- Fry ginger/garlic/chili in a bit of oil
- Add sauce mix to pan, heat until thickened and reduced to taste
- Add broccoli and meat to sauce
