Simple recipe for soy sauce eggs, suitable for a soup topping. This recipe will prepare a dozen eggs in a mason jar.

Ingredients

  • 12 room temperature eggs
  • 3/4 cup soy sauce
  • 2 tsp sesame oil
  • 2 tbsp wine
  • 2 tbsp brown sugar
  • 1/4 cup warm water
  • Ice water

Process

  1. Bring water in a pot (at least 5qt) to a boil. Gently lower in eggs, boil for 6-7 minutes.
  2. Mix other ingredients
  3. Shock eggs in ice water
  4. Peel eggs
  5. Place into mason jar, and pour soy sauce mix over them.
  6. Close jar, and place in refrigerator for at least a few days
