Simple recipe for soy sauce eggs, suitable for a soup topping. This recipe will prepare a dozen eggs in a mason jar.
Ingredients
- 12 room temperature eggs
- 3/4 cup soy sauce
- 2 tsp sesame oil
- 2 tbsp wine
- 2 tbsp brown sugar
- 1/4 cup warm water
- Ice water
Process
- Bring water in a pot (at least 5qt) to a boil. Gently lower in eggs, boil for 6-7 minutes.
- Mix other ingredients
- Shock eggs in ice water
- Peel eggs
- Place into mason jar, and pour soy sauce mix over them.
- Close jar, and place in refrigerator for at least a few days
