Simple chocolate chip cookie recipe. Mostly the same as the recipe in the link at the bottom of the page, but with more straightforward instructions for use on my kitchen tablet.

Cream in a mixing bowl or stand mixer:

  • 115g/4oz butter
  • 100g/0.5cup sugar
  • 80g/0.5cup brown sugar
  • 2g/0.25tsp salt

Add to cream, beat until incorporated:

  • 1 egg
  • 5g/1tsp imitation vanilla

Mix separately, then incorporate into bowl slowly:

  • 185g/1.5cup all-purpose flour
  • 2g/0.5tsp baking soda

Add chocolate:

  • 225g/8oz chocolate chips

1 heaping tsp per cookie, distribute on a baking sheet 2 inches apart

Refrigerate for more springy, less melted-looking cookies.

Preheat oven at 350F with a rack at lower third.

Move straight from fridge to oven. Bake 8-12 min until lightly browned. Rotate halfway through.
